JAMESTOWN - Nearly five months after the floods devastated Jamestown, the town is still without water.

Mayor Tara Schoedinger says the weather has caused some delays. A plan is in place to repair roads and replace the water distribution center by August.

There are signs around town that it is coming back.

The Merk restaurant has opened its doors and the Post Office will start service on Saturday.

The mayor says the goal is to rebuild smarter and stronger. She says about 40 residents live in town. They're using cisterns to get fresh water.

The town just received a grant, which will provided 20 more cisterns to families wanting to move back.
