KUSA - Point guard Ty Lawson suffered a fracture rib in a loss to the Detroit Pistons Saturday night.
The Nuggets point guard left the game near the end of the second quarter after he awkwardly landed on a drive to the middle of the lane. He immediately grabbed at his side and was in significant pain as he left the floor.
There is no timetable for his return.
"I can't even stand up straight," Lawson said in the locker room following the game. He leads the team in points (18.3), assists (8.8) and steals (1.5) per game. "It's tough. We've worked so hard and just to see us go down with injuries it's just tough to deal with."
Back-up point guard Nate Robinson sustained a knee injury just over a week out and will be out the remainder of the season.
