KUSA - Here is a look at Thursday's Olympic competition results. Some of these events will air in Thursday's daytime or primetime programming.

MEN'S SKI SLOPESTYLE

A great day for Team USA in men's slopestyle skiing. The Americans swept the podium with gold, silver and bronze wins and a Colorado resident will come home with a medal.

Joss Christensen of Park City, Utah won gold, followed by Gus Kenworthy of Telluride, Colo., and Nick Goepper of Lawrenceburg, Ind., who earned silver and bronze respectively.

Bobby Brown of Breckenridge, Colo., was a medal favorite coming into the event but he had a difficult day on the course and finished ninth.

WOMEN'S SKELETON QUALIFYING

The two American women on the skeleton team will move on to the finals on Friday. Katie Uhlaender of Breckenridge, Colo., made mistakes on both of her qualifying runs Thursday but still finished fourth. 

Noelle Pikus-Pace of Orem, Utah finished second on Thursday going into the finals.

The U.S. women will go for their first Olympic medal since 2002 when the sport debuted in Salt Lake City.

MEN'S HOCKEY

The U.S. men's hockey team delivered a huge win on Thursday by beating Slovakia 7-1. Colorado Avalanche center Paul Stastny scored twice in the second period. 

Ryan Kesler, David Backes, Phil Kessel and Dustin Brown also added goals to the team total. The U.S. faces Russia next for a game on Saturday.
