DENVER- For one Denver resident, it's all about decking the walls with cupid's bows.
Tom Bossen's home is decorated for Valentine's Day with all the red and pink the heart desires. Everything from light-up lips to a Christmas turned Valentine's Day tree. And to top it all off, his own light-up cupid.
This is the second year Bossen - who has lived at his home on the 300 block of Williams Street near Washington Park since 1990 - has put together his Christmas-esque Valentine's Day display.
His late wife was always fond of Valentine's Day and holiday decor. But after she died in 2000, he said he didn't have it in his heart to put up the swath of ornaments and trinkets.
His daughter convinced him two years ago to honor her mother by lighting up the street in pink and red in mid-February.
"Some guy came by and yelled, 'Christmas is over,' he said. "I yelled back, 'But Valentine's Day is here!'"
