KUSA - Interstate 70 has reopened between Vail and the summit of Vail Pass after accidents and weather led CDOT to shut it down earlier Sunday.

CDOT says the chain law is in effect for all commercial motor vehicles.

There's also been heavy traffic backing up between Silverthorne and Georgetown, with eastbound delays of more than an hour.

Loveland Pass is closed Sunday night.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for many areas until early Monday morning. Parts of Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson and Douglas counties are included in the warning.

Winds are going to blow between 30 and 50 miles per hour overnight. The strongest winds are expected from 10 p.m. Sunday night - until 3 a.m. Monday morning. There could be gusts of up to 80 miles per hour.
