JEFFERSON COUNTY- Gusty winds, up to 75 miles per hour, created problems for parts of the Denver-metro area and foothills Sunday night and into Monday morning.

A semi-truck and a SUV pulling a trailer rolled over in high winds on C-470 near Morrison after midnight on Monday.

C-470 was closed for under an hour while crews towed the vehicles away.

In Lakewood, a home under construction experienced damage from the wind near West Yale Avenue and South Indiana Street.

Before the high wind warning expired at 5 a.m. on Monday, 9News Meteorologist Becky Ditchfield said average winds were in the 40-50 mile per hour range around Morrison, but just east of Morrison, in Lakewood, wind gusts were clocked at 75 miles per hour.
