BOULDER - Downed trees and power lines knocked out electricity to more than 3,400 customers in the city of Boulder overnight, according to Xcel Energy.

9News Meteorologist Becky Ditchfield said 51 mph wind gusts were recorded in Boulder around 1 a.m. Friday.

As of 6 a.m., there were still more than 1,000 customers without power according to the Xcel Energy outage map.
