KUSA -The already crowded field of Republicans hoping to challenge Gov. John Hickenlooper (D-Colorado) gained one more contender.

Roni Bell Sylvester of La Salle, Colo. submitted paperwork necessary to run for the office this week, according to records from the Secretary of State's office.

Sylvester's campaign website describes Sylvester as a conservative activist skeptical of what she sees as "exaggerated concerns" over climate change.

She describes agriculture as the state's "soundest, most reliable economic base."

The mother of four will need to organize support in a hurry.

Precinct caucuses take place March 4 and candidates have until the end of March to gain access to the GOP primary ballot through petition.
