DENVER - There is an American snowboarder on the Russian team who is competing in Sochi. He says the US didn't have enough funding for the Parallel slalom event, so after he married his wife, also an Olympian, he became a Russian Citizen and made the team. But before Wild and his wife, Alena Zavarzina traveled to Russia, they trained for a bit in Denver at Cole Fusion Fitness.

Frankie Cole is the owner of the gym. He says two years ago Zavarzina stopped by because she was interested in learning more about his training philosophy. After the two spoke about what Cole could offer, she and Wild signed up. For months, they trained at the gym, working on everything from core training to lower and upper body movements all of which would prepare them for the Olympic games.

"Vic told me what his story was as far as a snowboarder and his wife Alena who was Russian and a snowboarding world champion. They were dedicated, motivated and it showed everyday they were here," Cole said.

Cole says he trains anyone who is ready to take their fitness to the next level. He is dedicated to the transformation of his clients. That was evident in the work he did with the two Olympians. Wild is now a two-time gold medalist and his wife took home the bronze in Sochi. The couple is a more tangible example of how hard work and dedication pays off.

"It's nice to have a guy who has trained people who have done so well and accomplished so much. You know you're not getting BS, the guy trains Olympians and professional athletes," Charlie Blackstock said.

Cole's clients say he pushes them and motivates them to achieve their fitness goals and to never give up. Cole says he hopes that philosophy resonates with everyone who works out at Cole Fusion Fitness.

"Like I always say, I don't lift the weights for you. What I basically do it point you to the direction of making you be better then when you walked through these doors," Cole said.
