Police say 33-year-old, Tikim Tyiuan Alexander, 24-year-old Kenneth Brandon Lacey, 32-year- old Ryan Meyer and 31-year-old Ryan Harrison were all involved.
The homeowner was also arrested. Thirty-two-year-old Adrienne Bayless is being held on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute and child abuse.
Lt. Chuck Saunier, a spokesman for the Commerce City Police, says the home invasion happened shortly before 9 a.m. at a home in the 10700 block of Akron Street. They believe the home was housing an illegal marijuana-grow operation.
Police say they were called to the area on a report of a suspicious vehicle. When officers got there, they learned a man from the vehicle had gone inside the home. When they went to investigate, they found a woman and her two young children inside, and a home invasion in progress.
They say that is when the four suspects tried to run away.
Three were taken into custody relatively quickly, but police had to search until about 12:45 p.m. before capturing the fourth suspect.
He was caught near the 8100 block of E. 104th Way. Investigators say he had broken into another home in an attempt to hide from police.
Police put Belle Creek Charter School, located at 9290 E. 107th Ave., under lock-out while they searched for the fourth suspect, but lifted the lock-out at 1 p.m.
Earlier, Thimmig Elementary was placed under lock-out as well.
Saunier says East 104th Avenue was shut down from Brighton Boulevard to McKay Road during the search.
Police are not releasing pictures of the suspects because of the ongoing investigation.
