The bodies of Chuck and Laura Claggett were found murdered in their Hugo home. An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect, their great-grandson, on Thursday.

The Lincoln County Coroner says the Claggetts' bodies were in home for two to three days before they were discovered, based on their condition.

They were found in their master bedroom in their bed. The coroner did not release how they died.

The teen will be advised of the charges of two counts of first-degree murder, which are class one felonies.

The 18th Judicial District Attorney office's has not made a decision on whether to charge him as an adult.

Police first found the teenager after he got into a car wreck on Lincoln County Road, east of Lincoln County Road 26 near Hugo.

The teen was injured in the crash, but his injuries were not life-threatening. In the pickup truck, police found a large amount of cash.

When police tried to notify the teen's family, they went to the Claggett's home, where they discovered the murdered couple.

The Lincoln County Sheriff asked for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's assistance at the crime scene.
