The first incident happened just before eight at an AutoZone in the 5700 block of Palmer Park Boulevard where one person was shot and another was killed.
When they arrived, they found a man shot dead in the parking lot and another victim inside. The victim inside was taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery.
The suspect involved in the shooting also carjacked a vehicle from that parking lot, taking an adult male hostage. That hostage victim was later released unharmed.
The suspect in that shooting was identified as 60-year-old Ernest Schmidt. Police are still looking for him and say he should be considered armed and dangerous. He faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and second-degree kidnapping.
A second, separate incident happened shortly after at the Camelot Apartments on the 400 block of South Murray Boulevard.
When police arrived, they saw a male suspect in the parking lot with a handgun. The suspect fled into an apartment.
Officers followed and shots were fired.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He's described as a 21-year-old adult male. No officers were injured in the shooting.
A third incident occurred around 10:20 Wednesday night on the 5200 block of Mira Loma Circle.
When police got there, they found three people with gunshot wounds. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, and the third was pronounced dead at the hospital.
There is currently no information on the suspect or suspects or a suspect vehicle in this case. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
