"I was in shock! Did she really just bite me?" Alice Gonzalez, who was bitten in the strange incident, said. "I could feel her teeth."
The clerk says the suspect frequents the Barn Store.
"She latches on to my neck through my hoodie, cause I had a blue hoodie on," Gonzalez explained.
The clerk showed 9Wants to Know investigator Jeremy Jojola the marks on her still swollen neck.
"I was thinking, 'OK, my neck is safe through the hoodie.' Oh, was I wrong," Gonzalez said.
According to Denver Police, the yet unidentified woman walked into the Barn Store around 10:30 p.m., groped the customer and bit him on the neck. The woman then allegedly went up to the clerk, asked for a hug and proceeded to bite the woman on the neck too.
"We have no pattern of vampires in the area," Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson admitted jokingly. "This is highly unusual, highly bizarre."
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for help in finding the "vampire bandit" who bit the woman and the customer of the Barn Store.
"Unfortunately, we make light of it, but the human mouth is a very dirty place and it's dangerous to be bit by someone," Jackson said.
The woman left the store with a man who had short, lightly-colored hair and was driving a dark-colored sedan.
Anyone with information about the identity of this person should contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). Callers can remain anonymous and the tip line is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
