Denver parks offer free movies this summer

Entering its seventh year, 16 free movies are being shown beginning June 30 in parks across the city.

The G, PG and PG -13 rated films start at dusk and will be shown in Blu-Ray format on inflatable screens over 24-feet wide and with a high-quality sound system.

Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or low-seating lawn chairs to enhance their viewing experience. Picnics are welcome and food will also be available on-site.

Sunday, July 1 - Puss n Boots at Ruby Hill

Saturday, July 7 - Moneyball at Skyline Park

Saturday, July 14 - Grease at Skyline Park

Sunday, July 15 - Kicking & Screaming at Civic Center Park

Saturday, July 21 - The Incredibles at Skyline Park

Wednesday, July 25 - Dolphins Tale at Bible Park

Saturday, July 28 - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl at Skyline Park

Sunday, July 29 - The Blind Side at Civic Center Park

Saturday, August 11 - Mary Poppins at Skyline Park

Sunday, August 12 - Monty Python and the Holy Grail at Civic Center Park

Wednesday, August 15 - Kung Fu Panda II at Curtis Park

Saturday, August 18 - Hugo at Skyline Park

Wednesday, August 22 - TBD at Governor's Park

Wednesday, August 25 - American Flyers at Skyline Park

Friday, September 14 - Top Gun Civic at Center Park
