9NEWS HOLIDAY GUIDE

9NEWS looks back at the malls and shopping centers that once drew thousands shoppers each day, from the iconic Cinderella City - once the largest in the western U.S. - to the small yet memorable North Valley Mall.

Many of these "lost" malls saw their heydays in the '60s, '70s, and the '80's but quickly went into decline when more modern, larger malls opened up nearby.

Some of these malls live on today, but in different forms. Malls such as Southglenn was redeveloped into The Streets of Southglenn, an outdoor lifestyle center.
