DENVER- One week after a man who escaped two U.S. Immigration and Custody Enforcement Agents (ICE) was re-captured and found in Nebraska, Denver International Airport released surveillance video of the man's escape only to 9NEWS.

The video shows Phoday Dumbuya, 25, running through sliding doors at the parking garage and into an elevator filled with people. Dumbuya entered the elevator just moments before a woman and a young child walked in.

On January 23, Dumbuya was being deported back to Gambia by two ICE agents. Immigration officials say Dumbuya was not wearing handcuffs and somehow escaped the agents.

An ICE spokesman says the officers did not violate any policies by not having Dumbuya in handcuffs and says the agency will take appropriate actions to prevent future escapes.

Dumbuya is in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service and is being charged with failure to depart. He will go through the judicial process before being deported back to Gambia.
