FORT COLLINS - A bomb threat in a women's restroom led to closure of Front Range Community College in Fort Collins as police investigate.

The Northern Colorado Bomb Team conducted a building search. No devices were found on campus.

Hundreds of students flooded calmly out of the buildings as firefighters taped off the Longs Peak Student Center, where the threat was discovered.

Fort Collins Police Services were contacted at 1 p.m. by Front Range Community College staff after a student found the written bomb threat inthe school.

At about 1:15 pm, students in the center were told to drop their bags and go outside. The evacuation was just a precautionary measure, according to police.

Mike Wilson was studying for a geography test when the order came from two instructors. He left his books, bag and charging cellphone in the center as he hurried outside.

Jeremy McReynolds with student government said the disruption is the first he recalls in the past five years.

"Some people are frustrated," he said. "Some people are probably happy to get out of class."

He said students have been busy, as midterms are coming up next week.
