AURORA - Police officers fanned out across an east Aurora neighborhood overnight in search of a man who was interrupted during an attempted burglary.
Police say a resident on Nucla Street called 911 around 12:15 a.m. Monday when she heard noises on the first floor of her home.
When officers arrived and started to surround the house a man ran from the home and disappeared into the neighborhood.
Officers established a perimeter from 11th Avenue south to 13th Avenue and east to Airport Boulevard as they searched the neighborhood for the suspect.
Automated emergency notifications were sent to residents within a one mile radius of the house asking residents to stay inside during the manhunt.
Officers say one man walking in the area was detained and is being questioned about his possible involvement.
