GOLDEN - Police are calling the death of an elderly Golden woman suspicious after finding her body during a welfare check of her terminally-ill husband.
Officers were called out Monday night to a home in the 400 block of Zeta Street in Golden over concerns that terminally-ill man might be dead.
Police entered the home and instead, found the body of 70-year-old Barbara Reathman. The cause of death is unknown at this time, but the circumstances are suspicious, police say.
Golden Police are now looking for the 65-year-old husband, David Wayne Reathman, for questioning.
Reathman is a white male, 6-feet tall, 230 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information about Reathman is asked to call the Golden Police Department at 303-384-8045.
