DOUGLAS COUNTY - An environmental clean-up company is working to clean up an unknown amount of diesel fuel that spilled in a commercial area just south of E-470 and I-25 sometime before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
South Metro Fire Rescue HAZMAT crews used absorbent booms to contain the spill in the 9700 block of Jamaica Street while they waited for an environmental clean-up crew to arrive.
Dispatchers with South Metro Fire Rescue said their last crew left the scene just after 1 a.m.
The spill is not affecting any water supplies or traffic in the area.
No one was injured or evacuated from the area.
It is not known when the spill will be completely cleaned up.
