DENVER - For those who only eat out once a year, Thursday might be a good day to do it.
A list of 300 Denver area restaurants are participating in Dining Out For Life. All day Thursday, these restaurants will donate 25 percent of each food bill to Project Angel Heart - an organization that provides meals to people with life-threatening illnesses.
"What we love about this is that everyone can find a great place to eat, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, in their own neighborhoods, fine dining or casual," Project Angel Heart Executive Director Erin Pulling said.
Project Angel Heart is able to raise 14 percent of their budget in this one night. The event is also great for participating restaurants, as it seems to be a popular, easy and fun way to help.
"It's a benefit for Dining Out For Life as well as for the restaurants. We see a big boom to business that night as well so it's good for both of us," Bob Blair from Fuel Cafe said.
Fuel Cafe is one of the hundreds of participating restaurants. Blair says they are always excited to help out.
"It's one of the best causes out there to support people with life-threatening illnesses, especially HIV and AIDS," Blair said.
