BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A man who New Orleans police say was shot after entering a stranger's home was a lighting designer from Colorado who had been touring with the band Leftover Salmon.
New Orleans police have said a homeowner, fearing for his life, shot a man who entered his home Sunday and allegedly fought with residents inside. The Times-Picayune reports coroner's officials identified the man who was shot as 40-year-old Joe Cahill, of Boulder, Colo. The Daily Camera reports Cahill was a lighting designer in Boulder.
The Daily Camera reports that after a Leftover Salmon show Saturday in New Orleans, most of the band and crew returned home, but Cahill stayed and planned to take in the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
