FORT COLLINS - Fort Collins legislators Sen. John Kefalas and Rep. Randy Fischer will join Colorado State University faculty, scientists and community leaders Tuesday at Lincoln Middle School's student-sponsored Colorado Climate Change Summit.
Roughly 150 eighth-graders will join in the discussion around research and seeking solutions for a more sustainable future. After the 1,348-acre Galena Fire burned through Lory State Park in March, students will gather data to help state park officials establish a summer park maintenance plan.
The summit is from 9:30-11 a.m. in CSU's Lory Student Center East Ballroom. Community members are welcome to attend; it's recommended they contact Jake McCollum beforehand at email@example.com or (970) 222-0396.
