On Thursday - held on historical Colorado Day which is the state's "birthday" government officials, agricultural experts and members of Colorado Proud launched the Choose Colorado campaign. The campaign is a three-week, statewide road trip to celebrate locally-grown, -raised and -manufactured products.
The road trip will cover the state's agricultural landscape in a Colorado Proud-branded car and includes stops in Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Durango, Alamosa, Salida, Greeley, Vail, La Junta and Pueblo.
The Choose Colorado tour was created to integrate agricultural communities and celebrate farmers, ranchers and manufacturers, while educating and influencing consumers along the journey.
Colorado's agricultural industry continues to overcome adversity from drought, fires and recession, and consistently earn its ranking as one of the state's top-three leading industries.
Choose Colorado commemorates the people, places and products behind this ongoing agricultural success.
