FORT COLLINS - A total of 111 rabbits that the Larimer Humane Society helped rescue from a home in a flood zone on Sept. 20 are now up for adoption.
Larimer Humane Society responded to a request from the National Guard search and rescue team in September to help evacuate rabbits from a home located in the 300 block of Pinewood Drive in Lyons.
The rabbits have been at the Larimer Humane Society under protective care and have undergone health tests.
Authorities charged the owner Katherin Von Meister with aninmal cruelty.
The rabbits are available for adoption at the shelter and through other adoption partners throughout the region.
