USA Sled Hockey: Over the weekend, the USA shut out two countries. On Saturday, they blanked Korea 5-0 and on Sunday did the same thing to the Czech Republic 3-0.  In Saturday's win, Berthoud's Nikko Landeros recorded an assist on the first goal. Landeros is playing in his first Paralympic games.

Alpine Skiing: Fog forced some postponements on Saturday and many events have been rearranged. On Sunday, Park City's Stephanie Victor earned her 3rd career Paralympic medal when she took silver in the women's sit-ski slalom. She won gold in the same event in Torino. Denver's Luba Lowery finished 7th in the same race.

In the men's sit-ski slalom, Gerald Hayden, who trains in Winter Park, finished 16th while Granby's Jasmin Bambur finished 25th (Jasmin skis for Serbia). Heath Calhoun, who trains in Aspen and is the Paralympian from the Iraq war, did not finish the first run of the day. He is scheduled to ski against on Thursday in the downhill.

In the women's cross country 10km, Evergreen's Monica Bascio finished 9th.  Monica had a near collision in the first lap.  She is scheduled for two more events, the 5km and 1km.

Monday's events include the men's and women's standing slalom. Vail's Ralph Green, Leadville's George Sansonetis and Brad Washburn from Highlands Ranch are scheduled to compete. On the women's side, 5-Time Paralympian Allison Jones from Colorado Springs and her US teammate Hannah Pennington from Winter Park will attempt to podium at Whistler Creekside.

Starting Monday and running through March 23rd, Universal Sports will air 2 hours of Paralympic highlights from 4-6pm Mountain Time and will repeat the segment from 9-11pm.
