"It's a fever. Everybody's got the fever," Mike Porter said, who came to the Stateline Oasis in Weld County Wednesday.
He was there on behalf of some neighbors who were sick and asked him to buy them tickets.
"We affectionately refer to it as Wyo-Rado," Mike O'Keefe, who runs Stateline convenience store, said.
He watched as people streamed into his establishment throughout the day Wednesday.
Terri Geist is the Lottery sales rep for Northern Colorado.
"This place has been crazy busy. There are fender benders in the parking lot. There are people in and out of here," she said.
Geist says a lottery this huge, at $550 million, is the best part of the job.
O'Keefe says he estimates Stateline sold $30,000 in lottery tickets alone in one day.
