Tickets were only available to those with a billing address in the Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota and western Kansas.
Ticket prices ranged from $60 to $200 for reserved seats and $175 to $425 for club seats. There was a limit of four tickets per household.
Tickets for the game, which will be held Jan. 12 at 2:30 p.m., were available at all Ticketmaster locations or on www.ticketmaster.com.
However, many Broncos fans were crying foul after they tried unsuccessfully to buy tickets for themselves.
"First 5 minutes, I was told the event doesn't exist anymore, then told no tickets available. Ticketmaster fails at ticket sales again," Peter Soeth said on Twitter.
Another Broncos fan named Casey Johnson said "they were already showing sold out on the website at 12:01 .... Seems a bit odd."
Broncos fan Amanda tweeted that "I was on right at noon and it showed sold out for me. I was even doing best available."
