It's called Red Bull Crashed Ice - a mix of downhill skiing, ice hockey and boardercross. The adrenaline filled sport has become a big attraction because of the high-speed action, the man-against-man battles and spectacular settings in Europe and North America with locations such as Moscow, Prague, Lausanne and Quebec.
The current 2013 World Championship is underway with the 2nd of five events taking place this weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota. The action in St. Paul will be broadcast on NBC/9News on February 16th. The first event in the World Championship took place in Niagara Falls - that competition can be viewed on NBC/9News at Noon (MT) on January 26th.
Former NHL All Star Jeremy Roenick is an analyst for Crashed Ice. He joined Susie Wargin to explain the sport on 9News 6 a.m. To see his interview, visit the video player above.
