KUSA - Little dogs from Colorado Peke and Pom Rescue came to Petline 9 Friday.
The leader of this rescue group, Connie Riddel, died recently. Her sister Julie Cooper is hoping to find homes for the dogs Connie was caring for.
Timmy - 5 year old male Peke - back legs are crippled. He suffered a back injury and it was not treated and caused paralysis. Owners dropped him off at the shelter and Connie from CPPR came down and picked that sweet boy up. We were able to fit him for some special wheels. Even behind the bars at the shelter he was smiling and when you put him in his wheels, Just watch him go.
Bart - Aging Senior Peke (approx. 11 or 12 years old) - One of Connie's fosters. Sweet boy and no health issues. He just wants to be petted and hang out with you.
Jazzy - A 3 ½ year old male, 5 Lbs. very friendly - lap dog. Walks well on leash. Loves car rides.
Sophie is a one year old Pom mix. She is playful, but a little shy at first and very loyal. Sophie is smart and knows how to ring a bell to go outside.
All dogs are up to date on their vaccinations. They have been neutered/spayed and have been micro-chipped.
Colorado Peke & Pom Rescue will continue helping dogs find new homes. They always need new foster families.
A memorial for Connie Riddel is April 7. All dog lovers are invited.
