Novus Biological creates antibodies for scientists at universities, hospitals and the National Institutes of health. Their products are used by scientists who are looking for cures for cancer and hypoxia, as well as neuroscience research.
All told, the company creates, labels and distributes more than 100,000 different types of antibodies from it's facility in Littleton.
The company was started back in 1996 by Karen Padgett, while she was on bedrest awaiting the birth of her twins. It actually was incorporated on the day they were born.
Every year since, the company has reported double digit growth in its revenue and has even been selected for Inc. Magazine's top 5,000 companies for three years in a row.
