Grand Junction-based JG Management Systems (JGMS) works with a number of government agencies providing everything from project management to engineering consulting.
The company was founded in 2001 and since then it has amassed an impressive list of American government customers including:
-Army Corps of Engineers
-Department of Energy
-Los Alamos National Laboratory
-Department of Defense
-United States Postal Service (USPS)
-Bureau of Indian Affairs
-Customs & Border Protection
-State of Colorado
JGMS has locations in 11 states, which work on everything from engineering design and analysis to construction and environmental management.
Among their many projects, assessing hundreds of USPS buildings to determine their condition and their compliance with the American Barriers Act rules, which ensure that disabled Americans are able to access to government buildings.
The company also helped coordinate the project to demolish a building in Grand Junction used by the Department of Energy to refine uranium during the Manhattan Project.
While 95 percent of their business is with the government, the company hopes to grow to serve more private energy companies in the future.
