AURORA - Police are looking for anyone who may have seen who shot and killed a man just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday at a liquor store on the northeast corner of East Smoky Hill Road and South Chambers Road in Aurora.
Aurora Police tweeted at 9:01 p.m. that the only suspect description they had so far was two to three males, leaving the scene in an unknown direction in a light colored car.
"Detectives have several witnesses to interview who may have witnessed various parts of the incident," said Aurora Police Officer Frank Fania, in a press release several hours later. "They are hoping to gather a description of the suspect(s) and the car from those witnesses."
The man who was killed was shot multiple times according to police. He was rushed to the hospital in "very critical condition," according to police, but was pronounced dead just after he got there.
The man's identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office after an autopsy and his family have been notified.
