KUSA - Colorado ski area's remain busy despite the holiday season being over, as the snow continues to fall west of Denver.
Another round of snow hit the high country Saturday, which kept the Copper Mountain snow removal crews busy throughout the day. A total of 116 inches of snow has fallen in that area. A year ago, Copper Mountain only had about 46 inches of snow.
The string of snow days this ski season has helped boost business. Ski numbers for the first part of the season are expected to be higher this year compared to last year's numbers.
That is thanks to good snow and also due to more people spreading the word on social media.
