ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Former Texas Rangers player Rusty Greer is among four finalists to replace Rudy Jaramillo as the team's hitting coach.

Greer was a fan favorite who hit .305 in his nine seasons with the Rangers (1994-2002). Colorado Rockies coach Clint Hurdle is one of the other finalists along with Thad Bosley and Gerald Perry.

All the finalists will be interviewed Monday.

Bosley is a former hitting instructor for Oakland. Perry has been a hitting coach for Seattle, Pittsburgh, Oakland and the Chicago Cubs, fired from the latter job in June. Hurdle was Colorado's manager until being fired in May.

After 15 seasons in Texas, Jaramillo turned down a one-year offer from the Rangers and signed a three-year deal to be the Cubs hitting coach.
