Iowa City, IA (Sports Network) - Cody Zeller poured in a game-high 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds as No. 5 Indiana held off Iowa, 69-65, on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Victor Oladipo netted 14 points on 6-of-10 from the floor and pulled down 10 boards, while Will Sheehey contributed 13 points and five rebounds off the bench for Indiana (13-1, 1-0 Big Ten), which snapped a four-game losing streak against the Hawkeyes in Iowa City. Christian Watford gave 11 points and eight boards in the triumph. Aaron White paced the Hawkeyes (11-3, 0-1) with 15 points and six rebounds, while Roy Devyn Marble added 14 points and nine rebounds. Marble struggled mightily from the floor, hitting just 1-of-14 field goal attempts, but made 12-of-13 from the free throw line. Mike Gesell finished with 13 points for Iowa, which had a six-game winning streak snapped.

Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Jim Boeheim reached another milestone before the new year. Boeheim tied Bob Knight for second all-time in wins among Division I coaches with his 902nd Monday as his seventh-ranked Syracuse Orange routed Central Connecticut State, 96-62, at the Carrier Dome. Michael Carter-Williams scored a career-high 18 points, dished out 13 assists and grabbed nine rebounds for the Orange (12-1), who extended the nation's longest home winning streak to 32 games. C.J. Fair, Brandon Triche and DaJuan Coleman supplied 13 points apiece for Syracuse, with Fair adding 10 boards. Matt Hunter ended with 18 points, 13 rebounds and six steals for the Blue Devils (4-7), who have dropped four in a row.

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - No team had shot over 50 percent against Michigan State this season. That was until Minnesota did so Monday, but the Golden Gophers still needed a late run to take care of the Spartans in the Big Ten opener for both teams. Austin Hollins tallied 22 points and six assists in the ninth-ranked Gophers' 76-63 win over the No. 18 Spartans. Michigan State, which had held its opponents to a 32 percent clip from the field over its last six contests, allowed Minnesota to shoot 56.6 percent (30-of-53) from the floor. Rodney Williams had 15 points and six boards, while Trevor Mbakwe added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Minnesota (13-1, 1-0 Big Ten), which has won nine straight games since its lone loss to Duke on Nov. 22. Keith Appling recorded 15 points, six steals and five assists for the Spartans (11-3, 0-1), who had their six-game winning streak snapped.

Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Gary Bell Jr. drained the go-ahead three- pointer with 37 seconds left and the 10th-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs held on for a 69-68 win over No. 22 Oklahoma State on Monday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Bell finished with eight points, while Kevin Pangos scored a team-high 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting and handed out five assists for the Bulldogs (13-1), who have won four straight since suffering an 85-74 loss to Illinois on Dec. 8. Kelly Olynyk did not attempt a field goal in the first half, but bounced back with 21 points and nine rebounds in the second 20 minutes during the victory. Freshman Marcus Smart led Oklahoma State (10-2) with 23 points and six assists, while Markel Brown added 16 points and Phil Forte finished with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range as the Cowboys' five-game winning streak came to an end.

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Cashmere Wright netted 18 points and Sean Kilpatrick added 16 in No. 14 Cincinnati's 70-61 win over 24th-ranked Pittsburgh in the Big East opener for both teams. JaQuon Parker finished with 13 points for the Bearcats (13-1, 1-0 Big East), who bounced back from their first loss of the season to New Mexico on Thursday. Talib Zanna tallied 16 points and five rebounds to lead Pittsburgh (12-2, 0-1), which had its eight- game winning streak snapped.

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Cory Remekun netted a team-high 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting as Saint Louis knocked off No. 20 New Mexico, 60-46, on Monday at Chaifetz Arena. Cody Ellis drained three 3-pointers off the bench and finished with 13 points, while Mike McCall Jr. netted 12 points for the Billikens (10-3), who have won seven games in a row since a loss to Washington back in November. Dwayne Evans pulled down eight rebounds to go with four points in the triumph. Kendall Williams scored 15 points and Alex Kirk added 13 points and eight boards for the Lobos (13-2), who have lost two of three after a 12-0 start. New Mexico shot just 31.8 percent from the floor and turned the ball over 21 times in defeat.

Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - C.J. Leslie totaled 21 points and eight rebounds to lead the No. 23 North Carolina State Wolfpack to an 89-68 win over UNC Greensboro at PNC Arena. Lorenzo Brown and Scott Wood added 15 points apiece for the Wolfpack (11-2), who have won seven in a row. Richard Howell contributed 11 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts. Kayel Locke poured in 21 points for the Spartans (2-9), losers in three straight and seven of eight. Derrell Armstrong put up 16 points and Kelvin McNeal had 10 points and as many rebounds in the setback.

Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Nino Williams led four players in double figures with 16 points as No. 25 Kansas State used a second-half rally to dispatch South Dakota, 70-50, at Bramlage Coliseum. Rodney McGruder added a trio of triples en route to 15 points along with nine rebounds for the Wildcats (11-2), who have won four straight in advance of their Big 12 opener against Oklahoma State on Saturday. Karim Rowson netted 14 points for the Coyotes (6-9), losers in five of their last seven ahead of opening conference play on Thursday against North Dakota State. Juevol Myles had 13 points and Brandon Bos 11 with five boards and four steals in defeat.
