Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Damyean Dotson scored a career-high 21 points as the Oregon Ducks overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the Oregon State Beavers, 79-66, in the Pac-12 Conference opener at Gill Coliseum.

E.J. Singler tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals for Oregon (12-2, 1-0 Pac-12), which has won three straight and seven of its last eight. Dominic Artis chipped in 11 points for the visitors.

Ahmad Starks shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, to lead all scorers with 22 points for Oregon State (10-4, 0-1). Roberto Nelson netted 18 points, Devon Collier had 10 points, and Eric Moreland tallied nine points, nine boards, and three blocks.

The teams were evenly matched in the first half, with both squads shooting 13- of-29 from the floor. However, Oregon State took a 34-28 lead into intermission thanks to three 3-pointers and a 5-of-7 showing from the foul line. Oregon was just 2-of-5 from the stripe and missed all eight of its attempts from beyond the arc.

The Ducks took control after the break by opening up the second half on a 15-2 run to take a 43-36 lead at the 13:45 mark. After the Beavers regained the lead, 47-46, on a pair of Starks free throws, Oregon used a 16-3 spurt to go back up by double-digits.

Oregon won the rebounding battle, 42-31, and outscored Oregon State 46-26 in the paint.
