Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals signed forward Eric
Fehr to a one-year, $600,000 contract on Sunday.
The 27-year-old participated in just 35 games last season for Winnipeg,
tallying two goals and one assist. Fehr also recorded 13 goals and 25 points
in 21 games in Finland during the lockout.
A first-round pick of Washington in 2003, Fehr spent the first six seasons of
his career with the Capitals, posting career highs in goals (21), assists
(18), points (39) and games played (69) during the 2009-10 season.
Over 265 NHL games for the Capitals and Jets, the Manitoba native has totaled
48 goals and 96 points. Fehr also has five goals and one assist in 26 playoff
