The team announced Friday that it signed McGinn to a two-year contract. The Avs acquired the 23-year-old McGinn in February from San Jose. McGinn scored seven goals in his first eight games, ending the season with 13 points in 17 games with the team.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Colorado Avalanche also said the team signed forward Mark Olver to a two-year contract, as well as forwards Bryan Lerg, Bill Thomas and Geoff Walker, and defensemen Thomas Pock and Sean Sullivan, each to a one-year contract.
