While the club did not release his salary for the 2013-14 season, according to RDS, he will make $1.5 million.
Giguere, 35, had a 15-11-3 record with a 2.27 goals-against average and .919 save percentage last season.
He has appeared in 557 career NHL games, posting a 246-206-45 career record with a 2.52 goals-against average, .915 save percentage and 36 shutouts.
"J.S. provided leadership, stability and a veteran presence to our team last season," said Av's general manager and executive vice president Greg Sherman. "He helped solidify our goaltending position and we are pleased to have J.S. under contract for the next two seasons."
He also has 52 career postseason games to his resume, where he's compiled a 33-17 record with a 2.08 goals-against average and .925 save percentage.
Giguere has one-year left on his current deal and will make $1.25 million in the upcoming season.
Selected by Hartford in the first round (13th overall) of the 1995 Entry Draft, Giguere has spent 13 years in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs.
