The CHSAA State Cross Country Meet, set for Saturday in Fort Collins, has been postponed a week, due to the massive snowstorm that gripped Colorado this week.

The meet is now set for Nov. 7th at Fossil Ridge High School.

"The course has over 18 inches of snow and the recommendation from facilities and for safety and travel concerns is that we postpone." CHSAA said in a statement on its Web site.

Because of the week-long postponement, the original start times are back in place. The first race of the day - the 2A girls - will start at 9:30 a.m., with the other races being run in 30-minute intervals.

9NEWS will have highlights from the state meet on the Nov. 8 edition of the "Prep Rally."
