Gladiators beat Crush

DENVER (AP) - Raymond Philyaw was 28-of-40 for 324 yards and six touchdowns in the Cleveland Gladiators' 50-46 victory over the Colorado Crush on Saturday night in the Arena Football League.

Philyaw threw an 8-yard TD pass to Willis Marshall with 3:21 left to give the Gladiators a 43-38 lead. Alphonso Hodge then recovered Crush fullback Chris Watton's fumble, and Philyaw threw a 23-yard scoring pass to Otis Amey to make it 50-38.

Amey finished with nine catches for 131 yards and four touchdowns to help Cleveland (7-4) run its winning streak to three gamnes.

John Dutton was 31-of-40 for 272 yards and five touchdowns for the Crush (4-7), losers of four of their last five games. Ben Nelson caught 11 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns.
