KUSA-  The top 335 NFL prospects are participating in this year's NFL Combine in Indianapolis.  Five of those are representing their colleges from the state of Colorado.

Paul Richardson (CU), Kapri Bibbs (CSU), Weston Richburg (CSU), Crockett Gilmore (CSU), and Michael Pennel (CSU-Pueblo) are humbled and proud to represent their schools.

"Just to think about what we're representing is such an honor", Richburg told 9NEWS.

Defensive lineman Michael Pennel is a graduate of Grandview High School and CSU-Pueblo.  He wants to be a role model for other football players from the state of Colorado.

"To be able to be someone the current players look up to and see that you can do this", Pennel said.

Rod Mackey will have the story of the five Colorado players on 9NEWS at 5pm.
