DENVER (AP) - Avalanche defenseman John Michael-Liles is expected to miss about two weeks with a bruised right shoulder.
Liles was injured Tuesday night in Toronto during the Avs' 4-1 win against the Maple Leafs. The next day, Liles learned he would be out of the lineup until his injury heals.
Rookie Ryan Wilson is set to make his NHL debut and replace Liles in Thursday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
Liles had five points in his first six games and had scored a goal in Tuesday's victory.
