Mark Schlereth was a guest on 9News 6am Monday.  He talked about the state of Broncos football, but just as important, the need for donations for the Denver Rescue Mission.  To see his interview, visit the video player above.

Schlereth also shared a leftover turkey recipe idea prepared with his Stinkin' Good Green Chile.  A portion of Stinkin' Good sales this time of year benefit the Denver Rescue Mission.

In one week, 1,250 families will pick up their Thanksgiving food boxes, including a turkey at The Crossing, the Mission's transitional living community. On Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, over 500 men, women and families will attend the Great Thanksgiving Banquet for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Also, the Mission has received requests from over 60 local agencies requesting thousands of turkeys this year.

Donations of turkeys weighing 12 pounds or more can be dropped off at the Lawrence Street Shelter, 1130 Park Avenue West in downtown Denver. Not only will donations help thousands of people served by the Mission, but also homeless and low-income individuals and families receiving holiday meals through churches, nonprofits, schools, and other organizations across Metro-Denver. For information or questions, please visit or call 303-297-1815.
