Generation Fitness founder Josh Stanton's son Pearse (PJ) was born four months ago with a rare condition called Gastroschisis. Gastroschisis is a birth defect of the abdominal (belly) wall. Babies with gastroschisis are born with their intestines outside of their body. Josh and his wife Dusti learned early on in their pregnancy that Pearse would be born with this condition.
Baby Pearse didn't have a single complication after Doctor's surgically put all of his intestines inside his belly. He set a recovery record for babies born with gastroschisis by leaving the hospital to go home after only 2 1/2 weeks of his birth.
