KUSA - The Centers for Disease Control says about one in 88 children are identified with an autism.
As those numbers grow across the U.S., the children with autism are starting to grow up.
Many parents of children with autism say it is very difficult. But one young boy from Roxborough is defying all the odds when it comes to autism.
Little Aiden Paradis didn't get there on his own.
His parents are using traditional therapy plus a newer therapy called The Son-rise Program.
Aiden also has a whole community behind him and his family.
9 News reporter Vida Urbonas has the family's story in our Storytellers.
In the video above, Aiden's parents tell 9NEWS reporter Vida Urbonas they have been able to make so much progress because of all the help of neighbors, volunteers and co-workers.
